In short

A truffle, caviar, a case of grands crus or an exceptional cut of beef tolerate neither waiting nor handling. We drive them from Rungis, a producer or a Parisian house to the restaurant kitchen — in France, Switzerland, Belgium or Italy — in a dedicated, air-conditioned vehicle.

Why a dedicated vehicle for this type of goods

Fine dining works on the product of the day. A chef building a menu around a white Alba truffle, a line-caught turbot or a case of rare Burgundy cannot afford a 24-hour delay or a break in the cold chain in a warehouse.

Our long-distance gastronomic transport links the Rungis wholesale market, producers and Parisian fine-food houses with tables in the French regions and across Europe. Products travel in their insulated packaging, braced, in an air-conditioned cabin, with no transhipment and no platform stop. Night departures are frequent so the goods are there when the chef arrives in the kitchen, before service.

The situations we handle most often

Every job starts from a different emergency. These are the cases that come up most in this field.

Exceptional product from Rungis

Truffle, caviar, line-caught fish, game: collected at dawn at the market and driven straight to the kitchen, in France or Europe.

Grands crus and rare spirits

Cases of Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne or collectors' whisky carried flat, away from light and shock.

Supplying an event

Gala dinner, wedding, embassy reception: fresh products delivered at the caterer's set-up time.

Butchery cuts and aged cheeses

Exceptional cuts, whole hams, cheese wheels: braced, air-conditioned transport, handed to the chef in person.

Link between houses in a group

Urgent shuttles between the kitchens of a hotel group or between the production lab and the points of sale.

Return of samples and tastings

Samples taken to a competition, a trade show or a client, then return of the tasting equipment.

Frequently asked questions — Fine food

Answers to the questions our clients ask before entrusting us with a job.

What is dedicated gastronomic transport?
It is the delivery of an exceptional product — truffle, caviar, line-caught fish, grand cru, prime cut — in a vehicle assigned to it alone, air-conditioned, with no warehouse stop. The product travels in its original insulated packaging and arrives at the time chosen by the chef, often before the kitchen opens. Freshness and the cold chain suffer no break.
Do you maintain the cold chain over a long journey?
The product travels in insulated packaging supplied by the sender (refrigerated box, eutectic packs, dry ice in permitted quantities) and is never opened or transhipped. The cabin is air-conditioned and the run is done in one go, which strongly limits thermal drift.
Do you collect from the Rungis market?
Yes, Rungis is one of our regular collection points. We can take delivery from your fishmonger, wholesaler or trading house as soon as the market opens, then leave immediately for the regions or Europe.
How long to deliver a fresh product from Paris to Nice or Geneva?
About 10 h 35 to Nice and 6 h 15 to Geneva. A 05:00 departure from Rungis allows handover in the kitchen during the afternoon, before the evening service is set up.
Do you carry wines and spirits to Switzerland or the UK?
Yes, provided the customs paperwork and excise duties are prepared by the sender (e-AD, invoice, licence if required). We present the file at the border post; we do not draw up the declarations for you.
Can you deliver before the restaurant opens?
Yes. We regularly arrange handovers between 05:00 and 08:00, as the kitchen team arrives. Tell us the time you want: the departure is set to arrive within the requested window, not before.
How much can you carry?
We are a taxi, not a freight carrier: a Mercedes V-Class van carries several hand-portable insulated boxes, roughly a well-filled car boot. For a full pallet or a mobile cold room you need a refrigerated carrier — we say so plainly rather than waste your time.
What does a food delivery to Lyon or Monaco cost?
Roughly €1,227 for Lyon and €2,499 for Monaco one way, on the kilometre rate of €2.63/km. The calculator gives the estimate for your exact addresses.
Do you insure the products carried?
Transport is covered by our professional insurance. For a high-value load (caviar, grands crus, white truffle), declare the value at quotation stage so an extension can be considered.
Do you operate on Sundays and bank holidays?
Yes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — including the festive season, which is precisely the peak for luxury gastronomy. Book ahead for 24, 25 and 31 December.
Can you make several deliveries along one route?
Yes: one job can serve several restaurants in the same group or region, for example Beaune, Lyon then Valence. The extra kilometres are included in the calculation.
What if nobody can receive it on arrival?
The driver calls you before arriving. Depending on your instruction, they wait on site at the prefecture hourly rate, hand the goods to a person you designate, leave them at a secure reception or return with them. Nothing is ever left without your approval, and the return trip is only invoiced if it takes place.
Do you also run the route the other way?
Yes, all our routes are operated in both directions at the same kilometre rate. We collect in the French regions or in Europe and deliver in Île-de-France, in particular to the Roissy CDG cargo areas, La Défense and Paris head offices. Just give us the collection address: only the distance actually driven counts.

What a taxi carries — and what it does not

We are a prefecture-licensed taxi service, not a freight company. Saying so plainly saves you a pointless call, and saves us accepting a job we could not honour.

✅ What we take

  • Documents, original deeds, data media
  • Parcels and cases that can be handled without lifting equipment
  • Flight cases, trunks, garment bags on hangers, jewellery boxes
  • Suitcases and luggage — up to six to eight pieces
  • Sealed insulated boxes supplied by the sender
  • Parts and cartons up to about 1.80 m long

❌ What belongs with a carrier

  • Full pallets and shrink-wrapped goods
  • Machines, engines, bulky furniture
  • Anything requiring a tail lift, pallet truck or forklift
  • Dangerous goods falling under ADR
  • House moves, even partial ones
  • Shipments requiring a goods transport licence

If your need falls outside this scope we tell you on the first call and point you to a suitable carrier. A taxi that costs you half a day is not doing you a favour.

An urgent delivery to arrange right now?

One call is enough to start the job. We drive 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, anywhere in France and Europe — no transfer of goods, no sorting hub, no deposit.
