In short

A waiting set costs tens of thousands of euros a day. We deliver cameras, lenses, batteries, rush drives and grip parts straight to the location — an isolated set, a Bry-sur-Marne studio, a beach in Brittany or an Alpine hotel — day or night.

Why a dedicated vehicle for this type of goods

Audiovisual production runs on the shooting schedule. A broken lens, a full memory card, a failed dolly motor: without an immediate replacement, the day is lost. Parisian rental houses (TSF, RVZ, Panavision, Next Shot) are concentrated in Île-de-France while shoots take place all over France and Europe.

Our long-distance production courier service bridges the gap: collection at the rental house or the production office, direct run to the location, handover to the location manager. The equipment travels braced, in a dry air-conditioned cabin, with no transhipment — which matters for calibrated lenses or a recorder holding the day's rushes. We also work the other way: rushes brought back overnight to the Paris lab or post-production house.

The situations we handle most often

Every job starts from a different emergency. These are the cases that come up most in this field.

Lens or camera replacement

Collection at the Île-de-France rental house and delivery to the set before the first shot of the next day.

Rushes back to post-production

Drives and cards brought back overnight to the lab or edit suite, handed to the editor in person.

Production and consumable supplies

Batteries, gels, cabling, grip accessories: whatever the production is missing, delivered without waiting for the next truck.

Costumes and set dressing

Costume pieces, props and fragile set elements carried flat or on a hanging rail.

Rental returns on time

Equipment returned to the rental house before the contractual deadline, including at weekends, to avoid penalties.

Moves between locations and base camps

Urgent shuttles between two distant filming locations, in France or Europe, without tying up a production truck.

Frequently asked questions — Film & production

Answers to the questions our clients ask before entrusting us with a job.

What is a production courier?
It is dedicated transport at the service of an audiovisual production: a replacement lens, camera, batteries, rush drives or a grip part delivered straight to the filming location. The useful window sits between the evening wrap and the next morning's call, which means driving through the night. A set at a standstill costs tens of thousands of euros a day.
Do you deliver to isolated filming locations?
Yes. We deliver to the set, base camp, production car park or the crew's hotel. Send us the GPS coordinates and the location manager's name: the driver calls them on approach to agree the exact handover point.
Can you carry fragile lenses and cameras?
Yes, in their original flight cases, braced in a dry air-conditioned cabin. The equipment never leaves the vehicle and is handled only by the driver at loading and unloading.
How long from Paris to a shoot in Nice or Marseille?
About 10 h 35 to Nice and 8 h 50 to Marseille. A departure after the evening equipment return allows handover on set before the morning call.
Do you work at night?
Yes, and it is the most common case: the useful window sits between the evening wrap and the next day's call. We drive between 22:00 and 06:00 with no supplement beyond the prefecture surcharge applied on the meter.
Can you bring rushes back safely?
Yes. The media travel in the driver's sole custody, with a collection photo, position tracking during the run and a named handover photo on arrival at the lab or post-production house.
Do you work with Paris rental houses and productions?
We regularly collect from Île-de-France rental houses and the studios at Bry-sur-Marne, Épinay, Saint-Denis and La Plaine. A production or purchase order reference can be shown on the invoice.
Can the vehicle wait on set?
Yes, the driver can stay available during the sequence and then leave with the equipment. Waiting is charged at the prefecture hourly rate.
What does a Paris–Nice or Paris–Bordeaux equipment transport cost?
Roughly €2,450 for Nice and €1,542 for Bordeaux one way, on the kilometre rate of €2.63/km. Compare that with the cost of a lost shooting day, usually ten to fifty times higher.
What load capacity for bulky equipment?
A Mercedes V-Class van takes several flight cases and items up to about 2 metres long. For a larger volume (heavy grip, track, generator) we use a second vehicle or several taxis in convoy.
Do you insure the equipment carried?
Transport is covered by our professional insurance. For a camera package worth tens of thousands of euros, declare the value when ordering so an extension can be put in place.
What if nobody can receive it on arrival?
The driver calls you before arriving. Depending on your instruction, they wait on site at the prefecture hourly rate, hand the goods to a person you designate, leave them at a secure reception or return with them. Nothing is ever left without your approval, and the return trip is only invoiced if it takes place.

What a taxi carries — and what it does not

We are a prefecture-licensed taxi service, not a freight company. Saying so plainly saves you a pointless call, and saves us accepting a job we could not honour.

✅ What we take

  • Documents, original deeds, data media
  • Parcels and cases that can be handled without lifting equipment
  • Flight cases, trunks, garment bags on hangers, jewellery boxes
  • Suitcases and luggage — up to six to eight pieces
  • Sealed insulated boxes supplied by the sender
  • Parts and cartons up to about 1.80 m long

❌ What belongs with a carrier

  • Full pallets and shrink-wrapped goods
  • Machines, engines, bulky furniture
  • Anything requiring a tail lift, pallet truck or forklift
  • Dangerous goods falling under ADR
  • House moves, even partial ones
  • Shipments requiring a goods transport licence

If your need falls outside this scope we tell you on the first call and point you to a suitable carrier. A taxi that costs you half a day is not doing you a favour.

An urgent delivery to arrange right now?

One call is enough to start the job. We drive 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, anywhere in France and Europe — no transfer of goods, no sorting hub, no deposit.
